In order to popularize astronomical knowledge the Planetarium offers more than 60 lecture shows in the Star Hall. Some popular tales are made into children’s shows while for the general public there are topical astronomical and special shows. Some of the general shows have been translated for foreigners. The Planetarium shows are recorded and only a few of them are reported live from the hall. For the last few years the public has been particularly interested in the so called "special" programs:

-Space Music-compositions of electronic music with laser effects and thoughts of the world and the eternal mysteries of existence.

-Star Discotheque-moments from the development of rock and pop music. The stars in the sky and the music stars are shown on a background of star and laser effects, color music and a lot of movement.

-Orpheus’Story-a music and poetry show, a combination of science and art presenting inherited antiquity brought back to life.

-Rorich’s Universe-the artistic,poetical and philosophical heritage of the Rorich family. Live piano concerts, chorus of folklore concerts are often given in the Star Hall or the foyer. Being active popularizers of astronomy, the staff prepares specialized monthly programs for the local radio and columns for one the local newspapers.
