The Planetarium has:

- Star Hall with a diameter of 12.5 m and 150 seats. It is equipped with a Zeiss RFP- Spacemaster projector, Zeiss additional projectors and video and laser systems, as well as a lot of slide projectors and other technical devices.

- Astronomical Observatory, equipped with Zeiss Cassegrain-Telescopes ( 150/2250) and some smaller refractors.

- Central Foyer, which is used as an exhibition area.

- Library with reading room possessing about 5,000 volumes.

- Cinema Hall with 220 seats, used for holding conferences and seminars and showing films. - Astronomical Ground. It lies in the Planetarium yard in front of the main entrance. Sun-dials, an universal gnomon and a platform for small movable telescopes are installed here. The Planetarium is an educational institution of the Ministry of Education and Science in Bulgaria.
